Save Our Southgate – A message from Chris Dey, Grange Park Ward Councillor

(The following message is posted on behalf of Councillor Christopher Dey)

Dear Resident,

You may be aware that the Boundary Commission is proposing to destroy our current constituency of Enfield Southgate. We have produced the attached leaflet explaining this to residents which we have paid to be delivered to every household in the constituency.

In essence, the Boundary Commission wishes to move Winchmore Hill into the Edmonton Constituency & Grange Park into the Enfield North Constituency. Then the rest of the current constituency is coupled with four wards from Haringey to form a Southgate & Wood Green constituency.

Please can I request that you share the attached with your neighbours and other residents? This is non-political and just about saving our constituency. We will also be putting forward a proposal to the BC that looks more like the current Enfield Southgate constituency. We are very keen not to split the N21 postcode across two different parliamentary constituencies.

We have also placed it on the agenda for the Grange Park Ward Forum on Thursday. Agenda for Grange Park Ward Forum on Thursday, 24th November, 2022, 7.30 pm. Hope to see you there.

Kind regards
