As you are probably aware we already have planning permission for the temporary buildings for Wren Academy Enfield on the Chase Farm Site.
We are now almost ready to make the application for the permanent buildings. Detailed designs have been drawn up for Wren Academy Enfield and a separate primary school, as well as outline designs for housing. This is a very exciting part of the process because it allows you to see what our buildings and the surrounding area will look like, and to comment on what you see, and this represents the formal consultation part of the planning process.
The Department for Education and the main contractor, Bowmer and Kirkland, have launched a public website today at www.chasefarmdevelopment.
co.uk. We would be very grateful if you could have a look at the website and share this with others in the community. We encourage you to review all of the material provided, ask the project team any questions and send your views via the feedback form by 7th May. It is really important for us to be able to demonstrate to Enfield planners that our community engagement has reached people, even in lockdown.
Thank you for your time and your support.

Hello (Grange Park Residents),
I am writing to ask if there is any way you could aid us in helping a close friend and local London girl, Talia Tosun.
In April, Talia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) and at the end of August, she was informed that she needs a bone marrow transplant due to chemotherapy being ineffective. Unfortunately, her sister isn’t a match, nor is anybody currently on the Anthony Nolan Register. Talia is of Turkish Cypriot descent and her best possible match would be from somebody of the same ethnicity, however, there is currently a huge lack of black, Asian or minority ethnic (BAME) donors. It is vital that we raise awareness to diversify the register and to ensure Talia and others have a chance of getting lifesaving stem cells. We’re now on a desperate hunt to find a match for Talia.
I was wondering if there is anything you can do to help, such share the page on social media or publish a post – this could have massive impact and could potentially save Talia’s life, if a match is found.

Any support is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Lucy

About The Pymmes BrookERS:
The Pymmes BrookERS are a group of Enfield residents working together with an aim to restore the Pymmes Brook and Salmons Brook, both tributaries of the River Lea. These rivers are all suffering from pollution, mainly from misconnected plumbing, sewage overflows and pollutants from roads.
With the help of Thames21, they are using environmental modelling software to map areas where wetlands and other greening initiatives can help trap pollution before it enters these rivers, and also reduce flooding. The group has identified 18 new spaces, which if installed, would radically transform the health of the Pymmes and Salmon’s Brooks.
The group is always happy to welcome new members so that both rivers become, in their words ‘cleaner, wilder and more fun!
